Edward Estlin "E. E." Cummings (Octo – September 3, ), often styled as e e cummings, as he is attributed in many of his published works, was an American poet, painter, essayist, author, and playwright. He wrote approximately 2, poems, two autobiographical novels, four plays, and several essays. He is often regarded as one of the most important American poets of the 20th. The author begins his 'nonlectures' with the warning 'I haven't the remotest intention of posing as a lecturer.' These talks contain selections from the poetry of Wordsworth, Donne, Shakespeare, Dante, and others, including e. e. cummings. Together, they form a good introduction to his work.

prose, the other in blank verse; nine books of poems; an indeterminate number of essays; an untitled volume of satire, and a ballet scenario. The sec ond question-where, in all this material, do I find my stance as a writer most clearly expressed?-can be answered almost as readily: I find it expressed most clearly in the later miscalled novel. e.e. cummings six nonlectures one: i & my parents on CD ee EE E. Sylvia Plath's copy of e.e. cummings' i six nonlectures Several years ago I worked with Sylvia Plath's copy of Ayn Rand's novel The Foutainhead.

In a blog post about that experience, I made a table listing the page numbers on which she made annotations and comments.

Too little attention has been paid to Plath's annotations. i: six nonlectures should help to bring him into sharper focus; [it is] the autobiography of a man who, through all the strange deviations of a strange age, has remained true to himself--one, moreover, so completely creative that even his lectures, which he calls 'nonlectures, ' offer new esthetic experiences Reviews: 4.
